Funding for innovation is clearly not enough, Oleg Demchenko admits. Therefore, the entrepreneur wants to win an international grant. Now he is preparing all the necessary documents for this procedure.
In 2019, about 2000 planted seedlings of lavender have already been planted on an area of 0.25 ha. Oleg Demchenko plans to use lavender for the production of essential oil, and wants to make healing tea from sage.
Earlier, the entrepreneur reported that he received 40 thousand seedlings of lilies and daffodils from the Netherlands. Tulip plantation spreads over 4 hectares of farms.
The first harvest of saffron from Oleg Demchenko was only 250 g from 5 acres. But if you consider that the cost of 1 g of saffron in the world market ranges from 5 to 10 dollars, then the result is not bad. True, it is too early to talk about export, you need at least 10 kg of goods. The farmer considers the south of Ukraine promising for growing this plant and is happy to share his experience with colleagues.
