On the territory of one of the large German enterprises specializing in large-scale storage of fruits and vegetables, last spring, innovative equipment for warehouses with onions was installed.
We are talking about equipment for warehouses and large hubs, which was developed by Tolsma-Grisnich (Holland). Unique technologies allow using this equipment to automatically fill chambers for storing onions before selling.
It is reported that an integrated line for automatic filling of boxes can fill four cameras at once, the capacity of which is one thousand two hundred and fifty tons each.
According to those employees who control the filling of cameras with an automated system, equipment can easily be switched to fill a new camera. It is noteworthy that the process can be controlled by one employee.
The developers report that the bow enters the chambers through special transport belts straight from the van of the truck. The onion enters the cameras evenly, thanks to special touch sensors.
German farmers, who were given the opportunity to test unique equipment in the spring, note that the operation of such a system is very promising.
