Odessa farmer Maxim Dikhtyarenko is engaged in the cultivation of exotic fruits: oranges, tangerines, lemons, kumquat, clementine and collects large crops. In the garden, the enthusiast has a lemon, the fruits of which weigh 1 kilogram.
Maxim became interested in exotic plants relatively recently. 10 years ago, he acquired a lemon seedling, but an attempt to grow it was unsuccessful.
The young gardener did not give up, but began to study the agricultural technology of its cultivation. Armed with knowledge, he made a second attempt, a new seedling took root and went into growth.
Soon, the young man gathered a whole collection of exotics and thought about building a greenhouse, as the plants no longer fit in the apartment.
Given the high tariffs for utilities, Maxim Dikhtyarenko deepened his greenhouse by 1.5 meters into the ground. She holds heat like a thermos.
The farmer owns another greenhouse where he grows seedlings and vaccinates.
So far, Maxim has no drip irrigation system, he does everything manually.
Panderosa lemon, which gives huge fruits weighing up to 1 kg, became the farmer's favorite plant. Panderos hybrid can be propagated by cuttings or seeds. Cuttings are suitable even for beginners, since they do not imply the presence of special knowledge.
As Maxim Dikhtyarenko says, in Ukraine such varieties of lemon as Lunar, Meyer and Pavlovsky grow and bear fruit. Variety Lunar refers to all-weather, as it is able to produce several crops per year. The ripening time of lemons is 8-9 months.
