Employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor report that negotiations will soon be held on the supply of Russian meat products to the market of China, Japan and Korea. In addition to meat delicacies, Russia intends to export livestock feed and animal skins to Asia.
This became known during a meeting of the operational headquarters on the supply of meat products to the above countries, which was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
According to the deputy head of Rosselkhoznadzor Konstantin Savenkov, domestic producers and suppliers have long been planning to export pork to Chinese outlets, but the PRC has not yet responded to this proposal, which is potentially beneficial for both sides.
As for trade relations with Korean buyers, here the agency intends to acquire the right to supply meat and meat products to the Korean market. It remains only to wait until the Korean side recognizes the regionalization of Russia in matters of agricultural livestock diseases.
It will not be superfluous to note that, as part of the meeting, Savenkov announced an audit that Japan conducted this spring in the Russian Federation’s veterinary control system. The audit was conducted by representatives of the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
It is too early to talk about the results of this audit, as the Japanese will share the results of the audit with potential exporters only after a few days.
