“There is a huge problem with the development of cooperatives and farming in general. For all the years, we have not reached the level of agricultural production in Ukraine, which was in 1913.

Then there was a completely different system, the land was used differently by farmers who really cared for it and lived at this expense, ”said the President of the NAAS, Yaroslav Gadzalo.

Director of the National Scientific Center “Institute of Agricultural Economics” NAAS of Ukraine Yuriy Lupenko believes that, first of all, it is necessary to overcome poverty in villages and develop farming.

According to him, only then will there be decent work, economic growth, and decent living conditions in these settlements.

It was previously reported that according to a survey conducted by the Association of Dairy Producers of Ukraine (APM), about 40% of farmers plan to increase the number of cattle in 2019.

The survey involved 300 agricultural enterprises. 6% of entrepreneurs plan to leave the dairy business, 50% intend to stay at the current level of production and work on its effectiveness.
