According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Udmurt Republic, in 2020, another goal of its opening is to increase the profitability of milk production.

In the elite center, they plan to create a bull-producing group with good genetics. Udmurtia wants to have its own bulls, which would be in the TOP 100 world leaders of the breed. This will be done by transplanting embryos from elite parents.

Currently, the republic has 2 stations for artificial insemination of cows, each of them contains 35 bulls. But experience says that males can improve their livestock no more than three years, after which their genetics is sharply reduced and they can no longer compete on equal terms with the best representatives of the breed.

The largest bull in the world was Donneto, who lived in Switzerland in the middle of the 20th century. With a weight of 1740 kg. and 190 cm. at the withers he was the kindest creature.

There are two ways out of the situation: either to update 1/3 of the bull population every year, or to abandon thoughts of growth, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Udmurt Republic Olga Abramova said.

At the same time, the list of elite bulls-producers of the world is updated several times a year. It is planned that the new center will open on the basis of FSUE UR Mozhgaplem.
