This week was marked by great news for the domestic food market: farm objects of various economic forms in the Krasnodar Territory put on sale in Russia and abroad the first batch of strawberries this season.

It is reported that in 2019, the start of sales of strawberries began two weeks earlier. Than in 2018. This is due to the fact that the current weather and climatic conditions turned out to be much more supportive of the early Krasnodar harvest.

The cost of the first shipments of garden strawberries from Krasnodar fields starts from two hundred rubles and does not exceed 250 rubles per kilogram. We are talking about prices at wholesale trading floors, and it will not be out of place to note that this cost is 2.3 times higher than the price of strawberries per kilogram in May 2018.

For clarity, we note that a year earlier, kilogram packaging of early garden strawberries from Krasnodar cost Russians an average of 100 rubles (from 70 to 130 in different regions of the Russian Federation).

It is noteworthy that today there is still very little Russian strawberry in the domestic market. However, we add that a significant influx of berries from different regions of the country is expected next week.
