Based on information received from representatives of the press center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the past week was marked by a new achievement for domestic participants in the harvesting process.
The fact is that as of July 12, 2019, Russian grain farmers harvested a little more than thirty and a half million tons of grain from eight million two hundred thousand hectares.
For clarity, it should be noted that to a similar date in the past. In 2018, domestic farmers managed to collect twenty-five and a half million tons of grain harvest from six million seven hundred hectares of agricultural land.
Based on the statistics provided by farmers, it can be concluded that the average yield indicator at the moment is about thirty-seven and a half centners of grain and leguminous plants per hectare. A year earlier, this figure was slightly higher - thirty-seven point six centners per hectare.
It is noteworthy that the Russian Ministry of Agriculture hastened to note: by the reporting moment, wheat was harvested in territories whose total area exceeded seven million hectares.
We are talking about twenty-six million eight hundred thousand tons of wheat crop, which led to an average of thirty-eight centners per hectare.
