The number of cattle raised in Ukraine decreased by 4%.
The State Statistics Service of Ukraine on its website on the Internet published data according to which as of June 1, 2019, it is 4% less than it was by the same number in 2018.
According to statistics, the number of cows per indicated number decreased by 4.3% to 1.93 million heads. The number of pigs in the country remained at the level of the first days of the summer of 2018, which is 6.3 million heads as of June 1 of this year. The number of sheep and goats in the country decreased by 2.5% and amounted to 1.6 million heads.
Compared with the indicators as of June 1, 2018, the number of poultry farmed in Ukraine increased by 4.8% to 234.6 million heads. In 2018, the number of cattle in Ukraine reached 3.38 million heads, which is 4.3% less than in 2017.
Compared to 2017, in 2018 the number of pigs decreased by 2% and amounted to 5.99 million heads, goats and sheep decreased by 3.1% to 1.27 million heads, the number of poultry increased by 2 , 9% - up to 210.79 million goals.
For information, in the early 2010s, in the world there were 1.3-1.4 billion head of cattle. At the same time, scientists blame agriculture for the global warming that has arisen.
