In the 2019-2020 marketing year, Ukraine can produce 94 million tons of oilseeds and grains, which will break a new record, the Ukrainian Grain Association President Nikolai Gorbachev said in a statement.
According to Nikolai Gorbachev, this figure will exceed the previous record crop of crops by 2 million tons, which was obtained this season.
Next season, export deliveries of grain and oilseeds may be at the level of 56.9 million tons compared to 52.6 million tons this season. Mykola Gorbachev added that by 2022, the yield of agricultural crops harvested by Ukrainian farmers could exceed 100 million tons.
Specialists of the Ukrainian Grain Association make such forecasts, taking into account the current growth rate of crop yields in Ukraine. Subject to the introduction of the latest technologies, this figure may rise and step over the 100 million ton mark, he stressed.
It was previously reported that in 2019 Ukrainian farmers will be able to collect more than 80 million tons of grain. This forecast was voiced this spring by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vladimir Topchy. He noted that over the past decade, productivity from 1 hectare has increased by 1.8 c / ha.
