To understand how much oxygen a particular reservoir requires, experts in matters of aeration take water for a sample, determining its temperature, acidity and saturation with various gases and substances. After that, holes are drilled in ice at the rate of two holes per hectare and the holes are covered with special wooden trays so that the holes do not freeze and oxygen enters the water. This year, such holes appeared on a pond in Izmaylovsky Park, as well as on the Patriarch's Ponds and Novodevichy.
