The most characteristic crops for cultivation in the Transcarpathian region are cereals and legumes, potatoes and vegetables.

56.5 thousand hectares are sown with spring cereals and legumes in the region, which is 3.4% less than last year. Crops of spring grain crops in households decreased by 6.0%, and in enterprises increased by 1.9%. Crop area for corn in 2019 in the region remained at the level of last year and amounted to 51.3 thousand ha.
Under industrial crops, 13.0 thousand hectares are occupied in all categories of farms, including 12.4 thousand hectares sown by enterprises, 0.6 thousand hectares by households. Of the total area sown under industrial crops, 9.3 thousand (71.5%) is soybean, 3.3 thousand (25.4%) is sunflower.
32.1 thousand hectares are planted with potatoes, which is 17.4% of the total sown area, and 3.2% less than last year. An area of 12.0 thousand ha was planted with vegetables on open ground, including 4.1 thousand - cabbage, 1.9 thousand - cucumbers, 1.8 thousand - tomatoes. 41.5 thousand ha were sown with forage crops, which is 2.9% less than in 2018.
