According to experts of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation specializing in the collection and analysis of statistical data, the end of spring and the beginning of summer of 2019 were marked by a slight increase in the price of pork in the domestic market.
In particular, in May, the cost of a kilogram of pork on bone in the Russian market averaged two hundred seventy-three rubles and eight kopecks. For clarity, we note that a month earlier, the average cost of a similar product did not exceed two hundred seventy rubles and ninety-eight kopecks.
It is noteworthy that over the year, the cost of pork meat on domestic shelves increased by almost eight percent. However, in the first days of this year, the price per kilogram of pork was six tenths of a percent higher than at the end of May-2019.
Analysts, having studied the price jumps on pork on the Russian market over the past two years, came to the conclusion that the minimum price threshold for this product was fixed in March 2018, when the average cost of a kilogram piece of pork meat did not exceed two hundred forty-eight rubles seventy and three kopecks .
The maximum price limit of the last two years was fixed in January of this year and amounted to two hundred seventy-five rubles and fifty-four kopecks per kilo.
Note that this spring, pork cost the most to Far Eastern consumers, who on average gave about three hundred twenty-six rubles per kilogram of meat. But the Volga buyers were more fortunate - in May 2019 they gave no more than two hundred and fifty-three rubles per kilogram of pork.
