A new addition to the JCB Loadall range of telescopic handlers is designed specifically for the livestock sector, according to the British engineering giant. Named the Loadall 532-60 AGRI machine, according to John Smith, managing director of JCB Agriculture, "it has the potential to increase productivity in dairy and other livestock farms while maintaining ownership costs."
The Loadall 532-60 is part of the JCB telescopic handler range with the same payload as the new 532-70 at 3200 kg, but in a shorter and slightly narrower version.
This leads to what the JCB is called a highly maneuverable multi-mode steering machine for working in and around agricultural buildings, and with enough options for field work such as stacking and loading bales.
Did you know? The first telescopic handlers were manufactured 28 years ago in England at the JCB factory. Telescopic handlers are versatile production machines. Complete with attachments, a telescopic loader can replace at least five units of various special equipment.
Thus, the two-stage telescopic boom of the loader provides full load capacity up to a maximum lifting height of 6.20 m and can withstand lifting up to 1400 kg at a height of 3.34 m.
Where access to buildings is critical, the Loadall 532-60 can be released on 20-inch tires to reduce the height of the car to just 2.40 m from 2.49 m on 24-inch tires, along with a slight reduction in overall width.
The loader is equipped with a JCB 4.4 liter EcoMAX diesel engine in combination with a PowerShift manual gearbox and torque converter transmission. The box has four speeds controlled by a thumb switch on the handle.
Meanwhile, all-wheel drive and a limited slip differential option on the front axle seem to provide more traction. The JCB 532-60 is equipped with the new Command Plus cab, which was previously introduced on larger models in this range, which, according to the engineering giant, provides better visibility.
The British firm also points to a joystick control, which, according to her, offers the JCB Smooth Ride System a boom suspension and bucket control system for "shaking the bucket or fork with low effort."
