In some settlements of the Ternopil Oblast, the American white butterfly recorded new foci of quarantine.
When state phytosanitary inspectors of the Phytosanitary Safety Directorate of the Main Directorate of the State Food and Beverage Service in the Ternopol region examined perennial plantings, a dangerous quarantine pest was discovered - an American white butterfly (Hyphantria cunea):
- in the Gusyatinsky district on an area of 44.2 hectares. (p. Kotsyubyntsi),
- in the Podvolochisky area on an area of 6.0 hectares. (village Podvolochisk),
- in the Ternopil region on an area of 15 hectares. Great Borki), 4.5 ha. Small Khodachkov), 8.0 ha (v. Smykivtsi).

American White Butterfly (Hyphantria cunea)
By order of the chairmen of the respective district state administrations, a quarantine regime was introduced and measures were taken to localize and eliminate the regulated pest - the American white butterfly, which are mandatory for land users and landowners.
The main localization and liquidation measures are the collection and destruction of caterpillars and egg laying, cutting branches with caterpillar nests, which must be burned in designated areas.
It is necessary to clean the trees from layering of the bark, to destroy plant debris, to dig tree trunks in gardens and on household plots.
